Referral Update
Keeping your referral listings up to date is important to make sure you continue to be listed on parents referral lists.

Why is updating my listing important?
When a parent calls for child care, the information they provide is matched up with the information that you provided. This information consists of:
-
Location
-
Hours
-
Vacancies
-
Subsidy
-
Ages Served
If you are listed as no vacancies for a particular age group your name will not be shared with the parent looking for care for that age group. Same thing goes for any of the items above.
Example:
You are a child care provider who lives near Lincoln & Oliver. You updated your profile and said that you are open M-F, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and you have one opening for a child 0-17 mos, and one opening for a child 18 mos to Kindergarten. You accept SRS.
A parent calls in needing child care for a 3 month old near Lincoln & Oliver on Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The care will be partially paid for by SRS.
Your name would not be shared in the list because your child care business is not open during the times the parent needs.
Keep in mind:
-
Only providers that meet all of the needs for the parent are shared.
-
If you have no vacancies listed for any age your name will not go out.
-
Please share the earliest and latest you would be available. If you say that you will be open till 5:30, and a parent calls needing care till 6:00 your name will not be shared.
-
If a large number of providers match the criteria, a random list of 20-25 providers (matching the criteria)will be given out. Parents are encouraged to call back to get more providers if their list does not suit their needs.
-
Over 60% of referral calls are from parents needing providers who accept SRS subsidy.
